Creator marketing in Los Angeles
Creator marketing in Los Angeles is crowded, but much less so for sexual wellness, lingerie, dating and nightlife brands. Some agencies decline them, and the platforms set stricter rules. We plan campaigns around those rules from day one, cast creators who fit your audience, and make sure disclosure and usage rights are settled before anyone films.
| Creator | Format | Rights | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Health educator, 60K | Reel, 60s | organic + 90d ads | Live |
| Fashion creator, 25K | Try-on, 3 cuts | organic only | In review |

The rules of this set
Four rules shape every campaign in these categories. Getting them wrong can sink a campaign, however good the creative is.
- Rule 01
Meta ads and boosted posts
Ads may promote sexual and reproductive health to adults, but not products or messages focused on sexual pleasure. A creator's post that is boosted or run as a partnership ad is judged by these rules.
- Rule 02
Branded content on Instagram
Creator posts about contraception and family planning must focus on the product, not pleasure, and be limited to people 18 and over. Other categories carry their own restrictions.
- Rule 03
FTC disclosure
Every paid or gifted post needs a clear, unavoidable disclosure. The FTC says a platform's built-in label may not be enough on its own.
- Rule 04
Enforcement is uneven
Reviews of Meta's moderation have found health products for women rejected while comparable products for men ran. Plan for rejections and keep alternatives ready.
From brief to posted
- 01
Pre-production
Goal, audience, budget and the platform rules that apply to your product.
- 02
Casting
Creators chosen for audience fit, disclosure history and comfort with the category.
- 03
Shoot
A brief with talking points, not a script, and a clear list of claims to avoid.
- 04
Post
Review for disclosure, claims and platform rules before anything goes live.
- 05
Distribution
Organic posts first; paid amplification only where the rules allow it.
Each stage is covered in detail on campaign management. How to judge a creator before booking is in our guide to choosing creators in Los Angeles.
Who we cast
Educators
Sex educators, health writers and clinicians who can speak credibly about wellness products.
Lifestyle creators
Fashion, beauty and relationship creators whose audiences already buy in the category.
Comedians and storytellers
Creators who can make a slightly awkward subject easy to talk about.
UGC creators
People who make ad-ready video for your own channels without posting it themselves.
UGC creators make video for your own ads and pages, which is often the safest route for products that platforms restrict; see UGC creator marketing.

Questions brands ask
- Can creators promote sexual wellness products on Instagram?
- Organic posts can, within community rules. Paid promotion is stricter: Meta's ad policy allows sexual and reproductive health products aimed at adults, but not products or messages focused on sexual pleasure. We plan every campaign around that line.
- Is a platform's "paid partnership" label enough for the FTC?
- Not always. The FTC's 2023 Endorsement Guides say built-in platform tools may not be sufficient on their own. We ask creators to disclose in the post itself as well, in words and on screen.
- Why Los Angeles creators?
- The city has a deep bench of creators, studios and production crews, and many brands in these categories are based here or launch here. For some campaigns we also book creators elsewhere; location is chosen for the audience, not for its own sake.
- Do you create explicit content?
- No. Campaigns are made to pass mainstream platform rules, and every creator is a verified adult who has agreed to the brief in writing.
