UGC creator marketing for brands the ad platforms restrict

UGC creator marketing means paying creators to make video and photos for your brand to publish, rather than for their own followers. For sexual wellness, lingerie and dating brands, that matters: your website, emails and product pages are not bound by ad-platform rules, so UGC can do work there that a sponsored post never could.

Where UGC can run

The same video faces different rules depending on where it is published. We plan the edits for each channel before filming, so nothing is wasted.

  • Your website and product pages

    Your rules

The strongest home for UGC in restricted categories. Platform ad policies do not apply here.

  • Email and SMS

    Your rules

Short clips and stills work well in onboarding and launch emails, sent with consent.

  • Your organic social accounts

    Community rules

Allowed within each platform's community guidelines on nudity and sexual content.

  • Meta ads

    Health focus only

Sexual and reproductive health aimed at adults is allowed; products focused on pleasure are not.

  • TikTok ads

    Restricted

Ads for adult sexual products are not allowed. Dating apps can advertise to adults, with conditions.

Rules as published by Meta and TikTok in 2026. Enforcement varies, so we keep a fallback edit for every paid placement.

A UGC storyboard, frame by frame

  1. Frame 10 to 3 seconds

    Hook

A line or moment that earns the next ten seconds.

  2. Frame 23 to 10 seconds

    Context

Who this is for and the everyday problem, told plainly.

  3. Frame 310 to 25 seconds

    Product

What it is and how it is used, with claims the brand can back up.

  4. Frame 425 to 35 seconds

    Close

Where to learn more, with the disclosure still visible.

Creators get this structure and a list of claims to avoid, not a script, and we cast them the same way as for creator campaigns. Their own words are what make UGC believable. How UGC compares with a creator posting to their own audience is covered in UGC versus influencer marketing.

Honest UGC

UGC is endorsement, and the FTC expects endorsements to reflect the endorser's honest opinion and experience. Presenting a paid creator as an ordinary customer, or cutting a clip so it claims more than the product can do, turns a useful asset into a legal risk.

We label creator content as creator content wherever it appears, keep claims inside what your brand can support, and agree in writing how long you may use each piece. Rights and their length are set out in campaign management.

Questions brands ask

What is UGC, exactly?
Video and photos made by creators for your brand to publish, rather than posted to the creator's own audience. You pay for the content and the rights to use it, not for reach.
Can UGC run as ads for a sexual wellness brand?
Sometimes. Meta allows ads for sexual and reproductive health aimed at adults, but not products focused on pleasure. TikTok does not allow ads for adult sexual products. UGC still works on your own site, emails and product pages, where those ad rules do not apply.
Can we present UGC as customer reviews?
Not if the creator was paid or gifted the product and that is not clear. The FTC expects endorsements to reflect honest experience and paid connections to be disclosed. We label creator content as creator content.
How much does UGC cost?
Published 2026 guides put a UGC package from a micro creator at around $1,500, with a wide range either side. Usage rights and the number of edits change the price most.
